Morgan Keegan - Day 1

Okay, so I went in to my first day at Morgan Keegan on Monday.  I go back on Friday, and I hope to build up my hours at the internship once I get rid of the NEWSPAPER!  WOOHOO!  Very excited that I don't have to have the newspaper job after this week.

Anyway, the job is GREAT!   I love the people there, and it is a lot of fun to walk into a place that is so professional.  The people are pretty relaxed there, despite the high stress that goes along with following the stock market.  It seems like there are several Christians around there, and Praise God for this...the receptionist at the front desk was basically talking to someone on the phone she knew about her testimony she gave last weekend in front of a bunch of government officials in Birmingham about growing up around violence and crime I believe.  She testified that it is CHRIST ALONE that got her through things.  It was a great start to the morning.  At the time, I didn't think about it, but it was as if God was showing me that this was going to be okay.  I immediately started off putting things into boxes.  For some reason, they aren't in alphabetical order, which is REALLY strange, but the secretary told me that they won't let them change it.  I have written down all the names, and I'm trying to become familiar with them.  Another intern from UAB told me that it took him a month to remember everything.  I also had to open up all the mail, except junk mail, and see if there was a check in them.  That took me about two hours and 10 minutes.  It was fine, though!

Throughout it all, I have to remember that all things are from God.  Nothing I have I can owe to myself, including this internship.  May God bless this internship, and may He use it to HIS glory!  Ahh, I'll write some more later...I gotta get to work on stuff for my last week at the newspaper!
